Two things:

1. The Yahoo/Pepsi/Blond host complex known as The 9 saw fit this Tuesday to feature The Aural Times. How exciting! Witness the surreality!

We would have alerted you sooner, but they neglected to mention it to us, and our Technical Director just now discovered this while examing the logs.

2. The podcast feed officially exists. Head over to the Subscribe page to partake of the goodness.

Wow! It’s been six months! Six months since we here at The Aural Times published our first issue, chronicling the hunting mishaps of a certain shotgun-toting US Vice President. Six months of Interns; six months of firing Interns; six months of producing the best damned musical news we know how.

And what better way to celebrate than with a remodel! It’s been an exhausting mess behind the scenes, here at the office—our Technical Director has rebuilt the website, porting our entire archive from our old code to a shiny new WordPress installation, for example—and I am happy to say that the old place has never looked better.

It’s also a bit of a clean slate—the one thing we couldn’t easily bring over with the site move was the comments, and so all comments have been lost. It’s a disappointment, but the work required to accomplish it would have put the Technical director into time-and-a-half pay, and that simply would not do. On the bright side, we should have much more flexibility and responsiveness in controlling the comment spam that had been cropping up on the site. Blackmarketers beware!

There may be a bit more news in the next few days, pending other breakthroughs. For now, I am exhausted, my desk is covered in sheetrock dust, and I am nearly out of scotch. And tomorrow is Monday. I need some sleep.
